"My hearing was changing. I had to turn up the TV louder for several years, but eventually, I was missing things in conversations. So, I decided to visit an audiologist. After a short exam, I was given a brochure on hearing aids. I asked for the invisible type but I was steered toward a behind-the-ear model with a wire and a $7000 price tag. They worked ok but it didn't feel worth it. Then I contacted Elise, a hearing consultant and audiologist who isn't beholden to any brands.
